Upload files to personal file storage

You can upload any files to your personal file storage as cloud storage space. From there, you can also easily share the files in chats.

In the web/desktop client

1. Click on "File storage" in the left sidebar.

2. Click on the "+ " icon at the top left next to the search field.

3. A menu will open. Select "Upload Files".

4. The file storage on your computer will open. Select the file you want to upload and confirm the selection dialog to upload the file.

In iOS

1. Tap the menu in the top left corner.

2. Tap on " File Storage."

3. Tap "Personal" in the lower left corner.

4. Tap on the circled in the top right corner.

5. Here you can upload various files from your iPhone to the file storage:

   1. Tap "Camera" to immediately take a picture to upload. You can decide to retake the picture before uploading. You cannot edit the picture after taking it.

   2. Tap "Photos" to upload one or more pictures from your photo library. Select the photos by tapping on them. Then tap "Add" in the top right corner.

   3. Tap "Files" to upload one or more files from your iPhone file storage. Tap the files to select them and tap "Open" in the upper right corner.

On Android

1. Tap the menu in the top left corner.

2. Tap " File Storage."

3. Tap "Personal" in the lower left corner.

4. Tap on the bottom right +.

5. A menu will open; select "Upload".

6. You will be taken to your smartphone's file storage. Select the file.

7. A view with the file will open. Tap the paper airplane in the lower right corner to upload the file.
