You can communicate with GIFs and emojis in your chats.
This article describes how you can send GIFs from the GIPHY media library directly from the app. To do this, the "Giphy GIF library" module must be activated. As an administrator, please read the article Activate additional tools (Calender, surveys, jitsi-videoconferences and more) for more information.
You can also send GIF files as attachments, just like any other file. For more information, please refer to the article Share files in chats.
Sending emojis
In the web/desktop client

Tap on the face icon in the bottom right corner of the message field.

The emoji keyboard will open.

You can search for specific emojis using the search field.

The up arrow on the right enlarges the view and lets you see more emojis at once.

The x on the right closes the emoji keyboard.

Click on the emoji you want to send. It will be inserted into your message text.
In the mobile client

Tap in the message field and write emojis as you would in other applications using your smartphone's emoji keyboard.
Sending GIFs
In the web/desktop client

Tap the face icon in the bottom right corner of the message field.

The emoji keyboard will open. Tap the "GIF" icon to the right of the search field.

The GIF library will open.

You can search using the "Search GIFs on GIPHY" search field.

The up arrow on the right enlarges the view and lets you see more GIFs at once.

The x on the right closes the GIF keyboard.

Click on the GIF you want to send.

You can write a caption.
In iOS

Go to the desired conversation or channel.

Tap the
icon at the bottom left of the message field. -
A series of file selection options will be displayed below the message field. Tap the "GIF" icon.

The GIF database will open with a search field. Tap on the GIF you want to send.

You can return to the selection by tapping on the circled arrows at the bottom left.

You can add a message text.

Tap the paper airplane in the lower right corner to send the GIF.
On Android
You cannot access the GIPHY media library. Send GIFs as file attachments or using an alternative GIF keyboard on your smartphone.
