You can send images in conversations and channels. In the mobile client you can additionally annotate the images with emojis and text and change the section of the image.
In the web/desktop client

Go to the desired conversation/channel.

Click on the
paperclip icon to the left of the message field. -
The “Send files” view opens. You can proceed in the following way:

Click on the
and select the file on your computer. -
Drag and drop the desired files on the spot named “Drag files on this spot”.

If you want to record your screen, click on “Record Screen” in the top right corner. For more info read the article Create and share screen recordings.

You cannot edit the image in-app in the web/desktop client. Edit the files with external programmes on your computer.
In iOS
-
Go to the desired conversation/channel.

Tap on the
icon to the left of the message field. -
There you will see different ways to share files. To send images you can choose one of the following ways:

Tap on “Photos”. A selection window of your Apple Photo Library opens.

Tap on the images you want to share.
-
If you have organized images on your phone in collections, tap on “Collections” at the top to access the collections.

When you have selected at least one image, the button “Add” appears in the top right corner. Tap on “Add” to confirm your selection.

Tap on “Camera”. Your phone camera opens in the app and you can take a picture or record a video.
-
Tap on “Retake” in the bottom left to retake the photo/video.
-
Tap on “Use Photo”/”Use Video” in the bottom right to confirm your photo/video.

Tap on “My Files”. Your phone’s local file storage opens. You can share photos that you have saved as files on your phone but not the photos in your photo library.

Tap on the photo you want to share in the file storage.

Tap on “Open” in the top right corner.

Tap on “Files” to share photos from your stashcat cloud file storage. Keep in mind that you cannot edit images that you share from your stashcat cloud file storage. If you want to edit/annotate the image, share it in a different way.

Tap on files to select them. Tap on the
icon to sort your file storage with respect to type, size, date or name. -
Tap on “Send” to send the file immediately. Skip the next steps of this tutorial.

All selected images are displayed in an editing view. Swipe left or right to edit another picture. You have the following options:

Tap on the
icon to annotate. Choose a color in the color bar on the right. Write your annotation with your finger. -
Tap on the face on the top right. to add an emoji. The emoji keyboard opens. Choose an emoji and move and skale it with your fingers. While moving an emoji, there is a
icon on the top left. Drag the emoji in the bin to delete it. -
Tap on the reverse arrow on the top right to reverse the last edit.

You can add a text message to the image by entering it into the message field below.

Tap on the paper airplane icon to send the image.
You cannot change the image section in the iOS App. Change the section prior to sending it with stashcat.
Give the app Stashcat the permission to access the photo library and camera in your iPhone settings in order to be able to send images.
If “Photos” and “My Files” are not displayed, it is possible that your organization has prohibited file upload. As an admin read the article Allow file import and export/Share links .
In Android

Go to the desired conversation/channel.

Click on the
paperclip icon to the left of the message field. -
The “Attach files” menu opens. You can share images in different ways:

Tap on “Camera”. A camera view opens in app. Tap and hold the camera trigger to record a video.

Tap on “Library” to share files including photos from your local file storage. Tap on the images to select them. You can select multiple images. Then tap on “Select” on the top right.

Tap on “File storage” to select images from your stashcat cloud file storage. Keep in mind that you cannot edit images that you share from your stashcat cloud file storage. If you want to edit/annotate the image, share it in a different way.

You can edit the selected images. Tap on the
icon on the top right. -
A menu opens. Choose “Rename” to rename the file. Choose “Edit”.

The editing view opens. You have the following options:

Add text on top of the image:

Tap on “Tt” on the top right.

Write text. Select the color in the color bar on the right. Choose the font above your keyboard.

Confirm by tapping the checkmark on the top right.

You can scale, move and rotate the text with your fingers. Tap on the x to remove the text.

You can add emojis on top of the image:

Tap on the face in the top right.
-
Choose an emoji from the emoji keyboard.

Confirm by tapping the checkmark on the top right.

You can scale, move and rotate the emoji with your fingers. Tap on the x to remove the emoji .

You can crop the image:

Tap on the crop icon in the top right corner.

Move the frame to set the image section.
-
Tap on the arrows to rotate the image by 90°.

Confirm by tapping the checkmark in the bottom right corner.

You will be asked for confirmation, as you will not be able to undo the edits afterwards. Tap "Confirm".

You can write freeform markings with your finger

Tap the brush icon.
-
Choose the color from the color bar on the right.

Write with your finger.
-
Confirm by tapping the checkmark in the top right corner.

You can undo by tapping the arrow icon. You cannot undo edits after cropping.

Tap on the checkmark on the bottom right corner.

You will be asked for confirmation, as you will not be able to undo the edits afterwards. Tap "Confirm".

You can write a caption in the message field.

Tap the paper airplane icon in the bottom right corner to send the image.
