It is possible to send your location data as message information. In this article we explain the needed settings, where to find them and where to see the location data in chats.
Sending location data can be preset by the administration and thus the deactivation setting might be disabled. As an admin read the article Additional organizational settings | GPS settings for mobile devices.
De-/activate location data
Settings in Android/iOS:

Select the
options at the top left to open the menu.

Select
settings. -
Select "Privacy".

There you find the slider for "Location data".
Settings in web-/desktopclient:

Select the
options at the top left to open the menu.

Select
settings. -
Select "Privacy".

There you can find the checkbox for “Send location”.
Location data view in chats
Location data view in Android:
In the chat history:

Tap on a message with a
symbol and hold until a menu appears. -
Select the
symbol in the menu. -
Select the
symbol at “Info” to view the location data.
In the information of a chat:

In the chat history, tap on the name of the chat at the top to open the information.

Select the option for "Map".
Location data view in iOS:
In the chat history:

Tap on a message with a
symbol and hold until a menu appears. -
Select "Info".

Select “Show location”.
In the information of a chat:

In the chat history, tap on the name of the chat at the top to open the information.

Select the option for "Map".

At the bottom you will find messages with locations and you can select a message to open its location.
Location data view in web-/desktop client:
In the chat history:

Navigate with your mouse over a message with a
symbol. -
Click on the
symbol and select “Message-Info”. -
At the top you will see a map with the location of the message.
In the information of a chat:

In the chat history click on the
symbol at the top. -
Select “Locations” to open a map.
