You can add a "Like" to messages. This will then be marked with an 👍 below the message. "Like" reactions can be removed again. You cannot react to sent messages with other emojis.
In the web/desktop client

Go to the desired chat and scroll to the message you want to react to.

Navigate to the message with the cursor and click on the icon on the right o right-click.

A menu will open. Select "Like." If you want to remove the reaction, click "Unlike" in this menu.

The message will be marked with an 👍 below the message.
In iOS

Go to the desired chat and scroll to the message you want to mark.

Double-tap the message to add the reaction.

The message will be marked with an 👍 below the message.
Alternatively, you can also do the following:

Go to the desired chat and scroll to the message you want to mark.

Tap and hold the message.

A menu will open. Select "Like." If you want to remove the reaction, click "Unlike" in this menu.

Several icons will appear at the top of the screen. Tap the 👍 icon. It will appear as an outline if the reaction has not yet been set and filled in if the reaction has already been set.
