Record voice messages

In the mobile client, you can record voice messages to send them in conversations and channels.

In the web/desktop client, however, you can send audio files that you have previously recorded with an appropriate program. To do this, follow the same procedure as for sending images. For more information, see the article Send and edit images.

In iOS

1. Go to the desired chat.

2. Tap the icon next to the message field at the bottom left.

3. A series of file selection options will be displayed below the message field. Tap on "Voice msg.".

4. The "Voice message" view opens. Tap the record button to record your voice message.

5. Tap the record button again to stop recording.

6. You can play back the recording before sending it by tapping the play button. You can delete the recording:

   1. Tap the icon to the left of the play button.

   2. You will be asked to confirm. Tap "Delete".

   3. You can then record the voice message again.

7. You can optionally add a message text to the voice message. Enter it in the message field.

8. Tap the paper airplane to send the message.

On Android

1. Go to the desired conversation or channel.

2. Tap the icon at the bottom left of the message field.

3. The "Attach files" menu will open at the bottom.

4. Tap "Voice message."

5. The "Voice Message" view opens. Tap the record button to record your voice message.

6. Tap the record button again to stop recording.

7. You can play back the recording before sending it by tapping the play button. You can delete the recording:

   1. Tap the icon in the upper right corner.

   2. You will be asked to confirm. Tap "Delete."

   3. You can then record the voice message again.

8. You can optionally add a text message to the voice message. Enter it in the message field.

9. Tap the paper airplane to send the message.
