Messages can be deleted by the user who sent them. This is only possible if the corresponding setting is enabled by the administration. It is only possible to delete your own messages. Messages of other users cannot be deleted.
It is possible that the deletion of messages is disabled by your administration. As admin read the article Additional organizational settings | Users can delete their own messages .
Delete Messages as a User
To delete a message you sent, follow these steps:
In the web/desktop client:

Hover the cursor over the message to be deleted and click the
icon or right-click on the message to be deleted. -
A menu will open. Select the option “Delete message”.

A “Delete message” window will open to ask for confirmation. Click “Delete”.

After deleting a message, the following text will remain instead of the deleted message text: "[This message has been deleted by the author.]"
In iOS:

Tap and hold the message to be deleted.

In Android:

Tap and hold the message to be deleted.

Several icons will appear at the top of the screen. Tap the
icon on the right side. -
A “Delete message” pop-up will open to ask for confirmation. Tap “Delete”.
