You can set up access to the messenger via an external directory server using LDAP. Login credentials such as passwords are then managed there. Users are automatically created for synchronization with the directory server. Users can be assigned to contact groups directly via LDAP.
You can deactivate user creation outside of LDAP in the settings. For more information, see Additional organizational settings | Manual account creation.
You can deactivate the resetting of login data independently of the login used with LDAP. For more information, see Additional organizational settings | Authorization to change login data.
