Delete your account / leave an organization

As a user you can delete your account and leave organizations.

In this article we explain the different options.

How to delete your own account

Deleting your account on Android/iOS:

Select the options at the top left to open the menu.
Select settings.
Select "Account".
Select "Delete account" and confirm the deletion by filling in your account password. Your account will instantly and unreversably deleted.

Deleting your account in web-/desktop client:

Select the symbol at the bottom left and choose “Settings”.
Select “Profile”.
At the bottom you will find “Delete account”. You have to fill in your account password and check the checkbox below. Your account will instantly and unreversably deleted.

How to leave an organization on your own

Leave an organization on Android/iOS:

Select the options at the top left to open the menu.
Select settings.
Select "Organizations".
Select the organization you want to leave and select “Leave organization” at the bottom.
If that orgnaization is your only organization you will instantly be logged out and you account will be deleted during nighttime.

Leave an organization in web-/desktop client:

Select the symbol at the bottom left and choose “Settings”.
Select “Organizations”.
Click on the next to the organization you want to leave and select “Leave organization”.
If that organization is your only organization you will instantly be logged out and you account will be deleted during nighttime.

If any of these options is not available it could be deactivated by your administration. Please talk to your administration and ask them about it. They can also remove you from the organization.
