The video conference tool isn't working for me. What can I do?

For reliable operation on a computer, Google Chrome is required as the browser. Please ensure you are using the "Jitsi Meet" app for Android or iOS.


I have no image/sound, what can I do?

Make sure the microphone and camera are enabled.


A password is requested, even though I haven't set one. What can I do?

Please ensure you only use the links provided by the chatbot. No further users can be added via the video conferencing tool itself.


The video conferencing tool doesn't work on my Mac, what can I do?

Check the security settings of your Mac. The video conferencing tool may be blocked.


What happens if a participant or the administrator leaves the meeting?

The participant or administrator can re-enter the meeting.


Can I create meetings for a future time?

No, the join links are valid for two hours. After that, joining is no longer possible.


Are the meetings limited in duration?

No, the meetings are not limited in duration.


How many participants can I invite to a meeting?

The maximum number of users is generally unlimited. However, with significantly more than 20 users, performance issues may occur.


Is the video conferencing tool GDPR compliant?

Yes, the video conferencing tool is hosted in Germany and is GDPR compliant.


Can the admin completely remove a participant from the session, so they can't rejoin?

No, as long as the invitation link is valid, the user can rejoin the conference.


Can the admin end the entire video conference for all participants?

Yes, this is possible by clicking the red handset and selecting “End meeting for all”. Within the 2 hours after the link creation users can join again.
