Mute conversations

You can disable notifications individually in each chat. If you want to disable all notifications, read the article Notification settings .

In the web/desktop client

1. Click on the chat for which you want to disable notifications.

2. Click on the icon in the top right corner.

3. Select "Notifications".

4. Choose between "disable for 8 hours", "disable for 1 week," and "disable permanently".

5. Click on "Save".

6. When notifications are disabled, the icon will appear next to the conversation name.

Alternatively, you can also do the following:

1. Click on the chat for which you want to disable notifications.

2. Click on the icon. The information view will appear.

3. Click on the icon to the right of the word "Conversation." Note: Do not click on the icon on the right edge of the screen.

4. Choose between "disable for 8 hours", "disable for 1 week," and "disable permanently".

5. Click "Save".

Reactivate notifications

1. If you want to reactivate notifications, click on and select "Notifications".

2. Select "activate".

3. Click "Save".

In iOS

1. Go to the conversation overview.

2. Tap and hold the conversation whose notifications you want to disable.

3. A menu will open. Tap on the menu item "Mute ".

4. Three options will appear: "Mute for 8 hours," "Mute for 1 week," and "Mute forever." Select the desired time period.

5. When notifications are disabled, the icon will appear next to the conversation name.

Alternatively, you can do the following:

1. Tap on the chat whose notifications you want to disable.

2. Tap the name of the chat.

3. Tap "Mute" under the chat name on the left.

4. A menu will appear for the duration of the mute. Choose between "8 hours," "1 week," and "Forever."

5. When notifications are disabled, the icon will appear next to the conversation name.

Reactivate notifications

1. Tap and hold the conversation in the conversation overview.

2. A menu will open. Select "Unmute".

Alternatively, you can do the following:

1. If you want to reactivate notifications, tap on the chat whose notifications you want to reactivate.

2. Tap on the name of the chat.

3. Tap "Unmute" under the chat name on the left.

On Android

1. Tap on the chat whose notifications you want to disable.

2. Tap the icon in the top right corner.

3. Select "Mute".

4. A menu will appear at the bottom for the duration of the mute. Choose between "8 hours," "1 week," and "Forever."

5. When notifications are disabled, a crossed-out speaker icon will appear next to the conversation name.

Reactivating notifications

1. If you want to reactivate notifications, tap .

2. Select "Mute off".
