With this feature, channel managers can perform a bulk export of all content in ZIP format within the channels they manage. This exports both the files shared in the channel and the messages into the ZIP folder.
This feature can be used as an alternative to the existing PDF export feature and is only available to channel managers and only within channels where the user holds a channel manager role.
Additionally, users must hold a user role with the permission "Export channel messages as ZIP" to be able to select the ZIP export option.
In the Web/Desktop Client
First, users who wish to perform the export must be assigned the permission "Export channel messages as ZIP".

Open the channel you manage and open the channel details via the "Info" icon.

Click on the three vertical dots and select "Export".

In the "Export format" section, select the "ZIP" option.

Choose whether files should be exported. If this is not selected, only messages will be exported.

Click "Export".

Note: Messages are saved in a separate
.csvdocument within the compiled ZIP archive.
Using this feature, channel managers can quickly export and archive the content of the channels they manage. Content from topic-specific channels (e.g., for operational purposes) can thus be archived in an audit-proof manner before being deleted from stashcat.
